The idea for RecordingWorks was born from a simple question: Why are creative spaces so often uncreative?
For years, the standard for a recording studio has been a sterile, windowless box. They are functional, yes, but rarely are they inspiring. The focus is purely on the technical, often forgetting the human element—the part of you that needs to feel comfortable, relaxed, and engaged to do your best work. We knew there had to be a better way.
We envisioned a place where technology and atmosphere weren’t mutually exclusive. A studio that felt less like a laboratory and more like a lounge. A space where creators, entrepreneurs, and business leaders could sink into a comfortable chair, take a deep breath, and let their ideas flow freely.
The answer was right in front of us, here at McClain Cellars in Irvine. What if we merged the sophistication and warmth of a premier wine lounge with the high-tech precision of a broadcast-quality production studio?
That’s how RecordingWorks was born. We built The Cellar Studio, The Vibe Studio, and The Event Lounge not just to capture sound and video, but to foster connection and creativity. We believe that a great conversation is like a great wine—it gets better when it has room to breathe. And we believe that when you’re comfortable in your environment, you create more authentic, engaging content.
So yes, we have the 4K cameras and the industry-standard microphones. But we also have a place for you to gather your thoughts, a comfortable chair to sink into, and a complimentary glass of wine to help you find your flow. This is more than a studio. It’s a new way to create.
