Open Positions
Position: Part-Time Video & Audio Technician
Location: Irvine, CA Job Type: Part-Time
The Role: The Video & Audio Technician is a crucial member of the RecordingWorks team, responsible for the technical setup and execution of our client sessions. You are the expert who ensures every podcast, video shoot, and live stream runs flawlessly. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, highly organized, and has a passion for helping clients look and sound their best.
What You’ll Do:
Set up, test, and operate our 4K multi-camera systems, including DSLRs and PTZ cameras.
Configure and monitor our audio equipment, including Shure SM7B microphones and audio interfaces, to ensure pristine sound quality.
Manage lighting setups in our studios to create a professional and visually appealing look for video recordings.
Operate our live streaming equipment, including switchers and encoders, for broadcasts to platforms like YouTube and Facebook.
Provide friendly and professional technical assistance to clients throughout their sessions, ensuring they feel comfortable and confident.
Manage the intake and delivery of media files to clients post-session.
Assist with equipment maintenance and studio organization.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience in a technical audio/video production role.
Strong understanding of DSLR cameras, video switchers, and professional lighting techniques.
Proficiency with professional audio equipment, including microphones and audio interfaces.
Experience with live streaming production is highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure.
A customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills.
Ability to work a flexible, part-time schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
Position: Video Production Intern
Location: Irvine, CA Job Type: Internship (Paid/Unpaid/For Credit – Please specify)
The Role: This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring video creator to gain hands-on experience in a professional studio environment. The Video Production Intern will work directly with our technical team to assist in all aspects of video recording and live streaming. You will learn the ins and outs of a multi-camera production workflow while contributing to a variety of client projects.
What You’ll Do:
Assist with the setup and breakdown of camera and lighting equipment for client sessions.
Act as a camera operator during video shoots and live streams.
Help manage media files, including organizing, labeling, and preparing them for clients.
Assist with setting up teleprompters and other production equipment.
Shadow our lead technicians to learn about audio engineering and live stream management.
Have the opportunity to work on internal RecordingWorks promotional video content, from shooting to basic editing.
Help maintain a clean and organized studio environment.
What We’re Looking For:
Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a film, media production, or related program.
A strong passion for video production and a desire to learn.
Basic knowledge of DSLR cameras and manual camera settings (aperture, ISO, shutter speed).
Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) is a plus.
A proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
Reliable, punctual, and professional.
Must be able to commit to a consistent schedule of hours per week.
